A Final Invitation

After due consideration, and much heavenly deliberation, Richard Henrie Morley has accepted a new and eternal relocation.

January 30, 1935 – September 15, 2026

Born in Price, Utah, to Gerald Blackham Morley and Rose Woodbury Morley, he began a life marked by determination, faith, and gospel devotion.

As a young man, he accepted a mission to the Eastern States location, where he shared the Restoration with conviction and inspiration.

 Later, with his beloved companion, Diane Bean Morley, he received another assignment, the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission. Together they served with cooperation, administration, and consecration.

His favorite occupation became education. For thirty-five years with CES, he found great satisfaction in seminary and institute instruction through Australia, California, Washington, and Utah locations. 

With scripture explanation, careful preparation, and heartfelt testimony presentation, he blessed generation after generation. 

Whether in a classroom situation, 

a chapel congregation, or a family conversation, he was usually found in teacher formation.

His Church participation included bishopric administration, stake presidency association, Scoutmaster navigation, and many other callings requiring dedication. 

His life became a demonstration of learning, living,and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

When formal occupation reached completion, his teaching showed no inclination toward termination. 

Instead, he continued his investigation, study, contemplation, and documentation. 

Books, pamphlets, and written compilations became another form of his instruction. 

Through observation, revelation, and careful explanation, he continued sharing the gospel he loved with family and friends as his congregation. To the very end, he never sought relaxation from his favorite occupation:gospel education.

He is now reunited in joyful celebration with his eternal companion, Diane Bean Morley; his mother, Rose Morley; his father, Gerald Morley; and his sister, Susie Tucker.

Those remaining in earthly separation include Dickson and Fernae Morley, Natalie and Eric Mantz, Jedd and Alisa Morley, Roseanne and Brian Dawes, Marcia and Alon Pugh; along with a growing population of 124 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Through multiplication, continuation, and family expansion, his greatest earthly contribution continues its progression. 

Though we feel temporary separation, we look forward with anticipation to a glorious reunion. 

With the Savior’s cooperation, another joyful reunion is now in preparation.

Interment: Price City Cemetery.
