Obituary

James “Jim” B Marshall, a man whose strength, humor, and love shaped the lives of everyone around him passed away peacefully on September 27th, 2025 at the age 77.

Jim was born to Dorothy and James Marshall on January 24, 1948 in Price, Utah. He lived a life of service, sacrifice, and devotion. He served bravely in the Vietnam War and then returned home where he met his wife, Sherrie. He spent decades working in the coal mines. Together they raised their three children in Sunnyside, Utah. Eventually he retired and moved to Florida to enjoy the warm sun.

Though he worked hard, he also knew how to enjoy life. Jim enjoyed watching football, the occasional trip to the casino, and spending time with his family. And if you ever asked him who held the most special place in his heart, he might just tell you it was his beloved dog, Patches, who never left his side and gave him unconditional love.

He has now been reunited in heaven with his parents, sister June Prettyman, brother Art (Mercedes) Marshall and his son Jeff. While we miss him deeply, we find comfort knowing he is surrounded by loved ones once again. He leaves behind his loving wife Sherrie Marshall, his daughter Sandy (Aaron) Churchman, son Jimmy (Dawn) Marshall, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of strength and love.

Graveside Service, Monday, June 8, 2026, 11:00 a.m., Price City Cemetery. Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Castle Valley Funerals & Cremations where family and friends are always welcome and may share memories online at www.castlevalleyfunerals.com.
